The mass was served by the vocalist Joumana Mdawar accompanied with the musician Marc Abu Naoum.
After reading the Holy Bible Bishop Khairallah delivered a sermon in which he said: "with limitless Joy and hope we also meet this year as every year to celebrate together the fifth anniversary of the founding of “May Your Will Be done” Association which started its road to complete the will of God in the lives of each and every one of us. And we meet in the 6th Sunday of fasting the healing of the blind, in which the Church calls us to pause the conscience and repentance to retrace live our faith and our commitment to Christ and ask God and the Lord Jesus "Jesus son of David, have mercy on us."
He added: " The May Your will be done “Association, was born with human and divine experience at the same time, it was born with Rosine Saab when God tested her with a malignant and incurable disease, she went only to God through the intercession of Saint Rafqa, our neighbor and the daughter of our land and she surrendered to God through the intercession of her Patron Saint, and her whole life turned upside down and she said with Mary: May Your will be done.! And here was the beginning of the journey of her Association, in our diocese and in our region in the footsteps of the Holy Fathers Saints. Also the experience of Doumit Menhem the son of our parish, which has been in the intensive room care for twenty six years paralyzed except from his faith and his tongue, his mind and his heart transforming his room to a silo where he is sanctified and his room became a place of pilgrimage and a pilgrimage site for many of our youth who condoled Doumit but in return they take a great love of life and the joy of belonging to Christ.
These are experiences as the blind’s experience and experiences of many of our saints, it's an experience that invites us also, to a pause of conscience in order to control and win the fear that is in us and the despair that may be entering into our hearts, we say only: We are the children of God and we are the sons of the Church saw and still see the Christ, and we are the sons of the holy land, the land chosen by God to be born where his son, Jesus Christ, embodied and died and rose, it's a great blessing does not allow us to give in to fear or despair. We are the children, we are brothers of Christ, and we are his disciples and his witnesses, we have to just say: “May Your Will Be Done”, and God's will not Our Will, as the logic of God is not our logic. We don’t understand what God wants from us, but we give ourselves to him with faith and confidence because he hears from us and makes us human salvation. We are strong in Christ, we are today stronger every day in our lives and in the history of our Church and the Church of Christ in the Middle East. At the end of the Mass the prayer of “sick healing” was prayed by the crowd and a gift calendar of the year 2013 published by the association was distributed.
